Thrissur: Ashtavaidyan E. T. Narayanan Mooss (87), chairman and managing director of Vaidyaratnam Group of Institutions, passed away here on Wednesday night.
Narayanan Mooss was a pioneer medical practitioner who combined modern technology into traditional ayurveda treatment. Narayanan Mooss was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 2010.
Mooss breathed his last at his residence at Thaikkattussery in Ollur here around 8 pm on Wednesday. The funeral will be held with state honours at ‘Thaikkattussery mana’ on Thursday morning.
He is survived by wife Sathi Antharjanam and children E. T. Neelakandan Mooss (senior director, Vaidyaratnam Group), E. T. Parameswaran Mooss (director, Vaidyaratnam Group), E. T. Shailaja Devadasan (director of Bengaluru operations, Vaidyaratnam Group), daughters in-law Hema Mooss and Mini Mooss and son in-law Devadasan Namboothiri (Bengaluru).
