The Konkan Railway will revise timings of 38 train pairs from Tuesday after monsoon schedule ends

Kannur: The Konkan Railway has announced that the schedules of 38 pairs of trains on the Konkan route will be revised from Tuesday, ten days earlier than usual.
The changes will take effect after the conclusion of the monsoon timetable, which was in force from June 15 to October 20. Typically, the monsoon schedule runs from June 10 to October 31.
The new timetable will bring a considerable shift in the schedules of major trains such as the Mangala, Netravati, and Matsyagandha Express. The changes will adjust their running times by several hours.
The speed of trains along the Konkan route is also set to increase. Between October 21 and June 15, trains will operate at 110–120 kmph, compared to the monsoon limit of 40–75 kmph. This seasonal speed reduction is implemented every year to ensure passenger safety amid challenging weather conditions.
