Kanyakumari: Passengers planning to board the Kanyakumari–Pune Express (Train No. 16382) will now have to adjust their travel plans, as the train’s scheduled departure has been delayed for hours.

Originally set to depart from Kanyakumari at 08.40 hrs this morning, the train has now been rescheduled to leave at 11.00 pm on Friday. The delay has been attributed to the late arrival of the pairing train, which is reportedly running behind schedule by 14 hours and 20 minutes.

The Southern Railway has issued an advisory for passengers, urging them to verify real-time train status before heading to the station. The rescheduling may impact connecting trains and onward travel plans for many passengers travelling towards Pune and intermediate stops.

Railway authorities have expressed regret for the inconvenience and assured that efforts are being made to manage the ripple effects of the delay. Passengers are encouraged to use the NTES (National Train Enquiry System) and official railway apps for live updates.
