Kochi: Veteran Congress leader and former Kerala Chief Minister AK Antony said that Aryadan Muhammed was a leader who always opposed minority and majority communalism and fought all odds to uphold religious harmony.

"He is a leader who was ready to give everything to Indian National Congress. A leader who adhered to truth and was not worried about his future in politics or electoral results," Antony said. He added that the presence of Aryadan should have been vital to resolve rising communalism in Kerala.

Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said that with the demise of Aryadan Muhammed, Kerala has lost a great leader who treated everyone with empathy. He was a strategist leader capable of overcoming any crisis, he added. "He was very close to me personally.  The demise of Aryadan, who had a decisive impact on his political career, is also a personal loss," he said.
