Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala condoled the demise of poet and lyricist Anil Panachooran.

The chief minister said that Anil Panachooran’s songs like ‘Chora Veena Mannil’ from the movie ‘Arabikkatha’ and ‘Vyathyasthanam Oru Barbaram Balane’ from ‘Katha Parayumbol’ will always be remembered by Keralites. The untimely death of Anil Panachooran will be a great loss to the Film and cultural sector, the CM added.

The opposition leader stated that Anil Panachooran penned many songs of high literary standards as a talented lyricist. His songs including ‘Chora Veena Mannil’ were popular among the people. He had a very close friendship with me. Through his demise, we lost a talented poet and lyricist in the new generation, Chennithala said in a message.
