
The mother of Ajmal, who is the accused in the incident where KSEB employees were attacked and the KSEB section office at Thiruvambady was vandalized, has lodged a complaint against the KSEB employees who came to disconnect the electricity. She went to the Thiruvambady police station and filed the complaint, alleging that the employees had misbehaved. At the same time, a local resident has lodged a complaint with the Kerala State Human Rights Commission, demanding the immediate restoration of power to the house.
Ullattil Abdul Razack, Ajmal's father, has returned home from the hospital where he was admitted after fainting during the protest at the KSEB office in Thiruvambady on Saturday. Although he has returned home, Razack remained lying on a cot outside the house, stating that he would not enter until the electricity is restored.
Meanwhile, Electricity Minister K. Krishnankutty has stated that the power connection would be restored provided the safety of the KSEB employees is ensured.
The electricity to the house of UC Ajmal, former president of the Youth Congress Thiruvambady mandalam, was cut off following the attack on KSEB employees, including an assistant engineer, and the vandalism at the Thiruvambady section office. KSEB officials estimated losses of around Rs. 3 lakh, including damage to chairs, benches, and computers during the attack.
On Friday, lineman P. Prashanth and assistant MK Ananthu were assaulted by a group led by Ajmal after they disconnected the electricity to Ajmal's house near Thiruvambady police station. Although the police registered a case based on the complaint filed by assistant engineer PS Prashanth, no arrests have been made.
According to KSEB officials, the attack on the KSEB office was in retaliation for the complaint filed with the police.
