Thiruvananthapuram: African swine fever has now been confirmed in Kanichar Grama Panchayat in Kannur.ย 

Another case was reported in Nenmeni in Wayand only a couple of days back. The infection was found on the farm inย Kanicharย that belongs to a farmer named Manuel.ย 

The samples from pigs were sent for tests after five out of the 100 pigs reared on the farm died suddenly.ย 

On Bijuโ€™s farm in Nenmeni, four out of 193 pigs died due to the infection.ย
