Chalakudy:  Former chief minister Oommen Chandy’s daughter Achu Oommen said that it is the High Command which has to take a decision on who should contest from Puthupally for the next Assembly election. She said that the survey results have helped the UDF work more harder and  intensively. She was speaking during the election campaign at Chalakudy constituency.

“Saneesh Joseph is my close friend and a UDF candidate from Chalakudy and hence I have reached here to campaign for him. Saneesh will definitely win from Chalakudy. The High Command should decide on the candidate from Puthupally for the next election. People like Chandy Oommen and several others have the right to get seats in Congress. I don’t intend to become active in politics,” Achu Oommen said in reply  to a question.

The surveys have given a major impetus to the UDF activists and UDF is working hard to prove that the surveys have gone wrong, she said.
