Pathanamthitta, Kerala: A tractor ran into a group of pilgrims at the Sabarimala shrine, injuring nine people, including two children. Two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
The accident occurred around 6.15 pm on Saturday. The tractor, which was being used to transport waste, reportedly went out of control on a steep stretch of the road amid heavy rain.
According to officials, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the slippery conditions. The driver has been taken into custody by the Sannidhanam police.
At the time of the accident, there were five people travelling on the tractor, sources said.
