
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported six Covid-19 deaths on Sunday. The deaths were reported from Kasaragod, Kannur, Ernakulam, Idukki and Malappuram districts.
Idukki Nedumgandam native Elikutty Devasya died while under treatment for fever. The Covid test conducted after death confirmed positive for the virus infection.
An 11-month-old baby who died on Saturday in Malappuram was also confirmed of Covid-19.
Aluva Keezhmadu native CK Gopi, under treatment at the Kalamassery medical college hospital, died on Sunday while under treatment for Covid-19. His infection source remains unknown.
Another Covid detah was reported from Kannur. Chakkaraykkal native Sajith (41) died at Pariyaram medical college. It is suspected that he contracted the virus infection while under treatment at the hospital for fever.
Two deaths were reported from Kasaragod. Thrikaripur native Hasainar Haji and Uppala native Sheharban died on Sunday. Both were confirmed with Covid-19 on July 28 and were under treatment at private hospitals.
