Bengaluru: A car carrying a group of Malayali tourists to Ooty collided with a lorry, killing two near Gundlupet in Karnataka.
The seven-member group from Kannur was on a leisure trip to Ooty when the accident occurred. The deceased have been identified as Muneer (30) and Muneera (45), both natives of Kannur. The car they were travelling crashed into a lorry.
The accident took place on Sunday morning, about 10 kilometres from Gundlupet. Five others in the car sustained injuries, and the condition of a child is reported to be critical. The child is being shifted to a hospital in Manipal.
