Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan received a death threat via phone call from a 12-year-old boy on Wednesday. 

The call was received at the police headquarters on Wednesday evening. The caller abused the Chief Minister and issued a death threat. 

Subsequent investigation by the Museum Police identified the caller as a Class 7 student from Kochi. The police officials informed that the child will receive counselling. However, it is unclear what motivated the child to make the call.
