Thiruvananthapuram: Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Biju Prabhakar on Monday took to its official Facebook account and warned of stringent action against those evading duty.
In the Facebook video of KSRTC Social Media Cell, Prabhakar said that 1,243 staffers are evading duty. “1,243 are not regularly coming to duty. Sometimes they come just to sign. Their sole aim is pension. Such people should opt for voluntary retirement schemes. Or else, measures including, termination will be evoked. Many are evading acknowledgment of the notices issued. Their names will be published in a full-page ad. If they are neither resuming duty nor giving explanation within a stipulated time, then their names will be published in the full-page ad of newspapers and terminated,” he noted.
Prabhakar elaborated on fake narratives against KSRTC. “Laws concerned are abided while assigning duties,” he said. KSRTC is only implementing the recommendations of the Sushil Khanna committee tasked by the government to improve the productivity of employees, he added.
