Kozhikode: Minister P.A Mohammed Riyas said that the accusations being levelled denying permission to Congress to hold their pro-Palestine rally on November 23 is just a means to cover up Congress’ negligence. He also alleged that this is a means to hide Congress’ double standards and tarnish the government’s programme.

The Kozhikode beach was selected as the venue for the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ and booked 25 days in advance. Riyas said that the venue of a programme should not be decided two days before an event. Congress can hold the programme elsewhere if needed, he added. 

The Kozhikode district administration had denied permission for Congress Palestine solidarity rally, which is scheduled to be held at Kozhikode beach on November 23, citing the Nava Kerala Sadas at the same venue on November 25.
