Thiruvananthapuram: Speaking at the closing ceremony of the ‘Keraleeyam’ event, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the programme was appreciated by the people of the state.
“We have proved that there is nothing we cannot achieve through the unity of the people of Kerala. This solidarity and unity must always remain the same. People travelled all the way to Thiruvananthapuraam, braving rain to attend the programme. It is the people who have made the event into a success,” the CM said.
“If there are reactions being voiced against Keraleeyam, it is not because of any fault in the programme but rather a thought that our land need not be displayed like this. But we have been able to make our presence felt both nationally and internationally, just as we intended. Let us present our country’s proud achievements to the world. Those who were trying to sniff out the cryptic reason behind this programme must have realized it by now.”
“We are going through a painful time as we remember the tragedy our Palestinian brothers and sisters are facing. It is an attempt to wipe out an entire population. We all know Israel is doing this with the U.S ‘s support. None of us can take a neutral stand on the matter. Let us unite and declare our solidarity with the people who are struggling in Palestine,” the Chief Minister added.
