Thiruvananthapuram: Eldhose Kunnapillil has been slapped with a fresh case for allegedly defaming the compainant in the sexual harassment case against him. Four online media houses are also booked along with the Congress MLA.
The woman had complained that the MLA ran a smear campaign against her after the original complaint was filed.

She said Eldhose paid the online portals Rs 1 lakh to report against her. They even carried her photo, she alleged. As per law, media houses cannot publish any detail that may reveal the identity of the survivor of a sexual assault.
The complaint was filed with the city police commissioner who later handed it over to the Pettah police station. The FIR was registered by Friday evening.
Eldhose had secured anticipatory bail from the Additional Sessions Court here in the sexual harassment and murder attempt case. Following this, Eldhose reappeared at his home and pleaded not guilty in front of the media. He had gone incommunicado after the FIR in this case was registered on October 11.
