Idukki: While discussions are ongoing about moving Arikomban from Idukki, another rogue elephant goes by the moniker 'Chakka Komban' caused panic among natives in Chinnakanal on Sunday morning.
Around 12:30 am on Sunday, it ventured into a private resort, Echo Camp, near Chinnakanal. Fortunately, the elephant left the premises without causing any damage. The incident happened when the tourists were camping here in tent houses.

The elephant left the resort by forcing his way through the gate. The cars parked on either side of the road were not damaged.
Meanwhile, the state government is planning to approach the Supreme Court regarding shifting 'Arikomban' to another forest region. The government says it has difficulty finding a forest to relocate the elephant.
