Padmaja Venugopal, daughter of former Chief Minister K Karunakaran, took to Facebook and slammed her critics for their relentless attacks on her as she had shaken the state politics on Thursday by deserting Congress party and joining BJP. 

Padmaja took a dig at the “attackers” and wrote on Facebook on Friday  that she just can not understand why they make an issue over her joining BJP, if they think she is not capable enough. “For the last two days, I have been at the receiving end as people keep on lambasting me. I don’t feel bad over this as it wouldn’t come as much as what I had suffered in congress’, she said. “

She also had advised her detractors to stop repeating that nothing would happen to congress if she quits. “Please stop saying that, or the people would start thinking that, whether there would be any impact’. 

Padmaja hinted that she won't budge to such smear campaigns.  “Agree, I am inefficient. So the problem ends, right? ” . She posed a question and concluded her social media post.
