Yo Yo Honey Singh skipped a Maharashtra Cyber summons over alleged indecent Delhi concert remarks and has sought more time to appear.

Mumbai: Rapper and music producer Yo Yo Honey Singh did not appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell on Monday after being summoned for questioning over alleged indecent remarks made during a concert in Delhi.
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell had asked Honey Singh to appear personally before the investigating officer and record his statement in connection with a complaint filed over the remarks. The rapper, however, has sought more time to appear before the investigating officer.
The inquiry follows a complaint submitted to Maharashtra Cyber after a video from Honey Singh's Delhi concert drew criticism on social media. The rapper was allegedly heard making a sexually suggestive remark during the performance.
Honey Singh had earlier apologised
The controversy surfaced earlier this year after a clip from the concert went viral. In the video, Honey Singh appeared to make a remark suggesting that people have sex in cars, triggering a backlash from several social media users.
Honey Singh later addressed the controversy in a video shared on social media and apologised to those who were offended by his comments. He maintained that his intention was not to insult or hurt anyone.
The rapper also offered an explanation for the context behind his remarks. He said that, shortly before the incident, he had spoken with a leading gynaecologist and sexologist about concerns over sexually transmitted diseases among young people linked to unprotected sex.
According to Honey Singh, the discussion stayed with him when he appeared as a guest at a show hosted by Nanku and Karun. He said he was addressing an audience that included a large number of Gen Z viewers and attempted to communicate the importance of protection in language he believed would be familiar to them through the OTT content they watch.
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell is investigating the complaint linked to the alleged remarks. Honey Singh is yet to record his statement and has requested additional time to appear before the investigating officer.
