Independent rapper Santy Sharma, popularly known as one of Madhya Pradesh’s early rap artists, has found himself at the centre of a social media controversy after his YouTube channel was reportedly permanently removed following his comments about the viral “Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)” trend.

Sharma claimed on social media that YouTube informed him that his channel would not be restored, leaving him disappointed as the platform contained over a decade of his music, videos and creative journey. While the exact reason behind the removal has not been officially confirmed, the timing has bought in speculation among fans and online users.

The controversy began after Sharma dismissed the CJP trend as “just an internet drama” and referred to it as the “Cockroach Janata Party”. His comment spread across social media, drawing both criticism and support. Sharma later claimed that he received a wave of hate messages.

Known by fans as one of the first rappers from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, Santy Sharma, whose real name is Ganesh Sharma, started his music career in 2014. Over the years, he built a loyal audience through independent rap releases and digital content.

The rapper has previously made headlines for his comments involving fellow artist Badshah, which also sparked discussions among music fans. Meanwhile, his name has recently been circulating in entertainment circles amid rumours of a possible appearance on ‘Bigg Boss 20’, although no official announcement has been made.
