Vijayabhaskar submitted his resignation to Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker J C D Prabhakar at the State Secretariat in Chennai.

Chennai: Former Tamil Nadu Transport Minister and Karur MLA M R Vijayabhaskar resigned from the AIADMK on Monday, dealing another blow to the party after its second consecutive electoral defeat under Edappadi K Palaniswami's leadership.
Vijayabhaskar submitted his resignation to Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker J C D Prabhakar at the State Secretariat in Chennai.
His exit marks the sixth resignation from the AIADMK since the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, held two months ago.
The resignation is the latest setback for the opposition party, which has been grappling with internal discontent following its electoral losses.
Vijayabhaskar, who represented the Karur Assembly constituency, served as the state's Transport Minister during the previous AIADMK government. The party is yet to issue an official statement on his resignation or announce any further action.
