
Mumbai: Followers of erstwhile Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray have abandoned his ideals and are now acting contrary to what he had stood for, said Union Minister Suresh Gopi. Speaking at an election meeting organized as part of the campaign for Mahayuti candidates in Mumbai, Suresh Gopi also mentioned that Congress and Marxist voters had supported him in Thrissur.
Suresh Gopi participated in eight campaign programs in Mumbai and nearby areas. The programs began with a campaign meeting for Narendra Mehta, the BJP candidate from Mira-Bhayandar. Narendra Mehta, Uttam Kumar, Santosh Natarajan, Sreeraj Nair, Madhu Nair, and Siddique were among those who participated in the meeting.
Following this, he participated in campaign meetings for BJP candidate Sneha Dubey at the party office on Vasai Ambadi Road and for Sanjay Kelkar at the BJP head office in Vartak Nagar, Thane. At Vartak Nagar, various Malayali organizations felicitated Suresh Gopi.
He also addressed a gathering of Malayalis at Dombivli and sought their support for BJP candidate Ravindra Chavan. Additionally, he participated in campaign programs in Kalyan, Panvel, Nerul, and Malad, where he addressed Malayali gatherings and urged them to support BJP candidates.
