President Droupadi Murmu nominates Ujjwal Nikam, Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Meenakshi Jain, and C Sadanandan Master to Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu has nominated four prominent personalities from diverse fields to the Rajya Sabha, the Upper House of Parliament.
The nominations, made under the powers conferred by Article 80(1)(a) read with clause (3) of the Constitution, fill vacancies created by the retirement of previously nominated members.
The distinguished individuals nominated are:
Ujjwal Deorao Nikam: A renowned public prosecutor celebrated for handling high-profile criminal cases, bringing extensive legal expertise to the Upper House.
C Sadanandan Master: A veteran social worker and educationist hailing from Kerala, recognized for his long-standing contributions to society and education.
Harsh Vardhan Shringla: The former Foreign Secretary of India, whose extensive diplomatic experience will be a valuable asset.
Meenakshi Jain: A noted historian and academic, recognized for her scholarly contributions.
