Chennai: Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin carried out an unannounced visit to the Greater Chennai Corporation Command and Control Centre on Tuesday morning. The centre monitors city operations 24/7, including rainfall, water levels in drains, traffic flow, and conditions at river-mouth outlets.
During the inspection, Stalin reviewed complaints received through the 1913 helpline and social media, checked response times, and ensured that issues were being forwarded to zonal officers promptly. He also interacted with staff handling grievances and examined real-time CCTV footage across subways and key city points to assess traffic and rainfall conditions.
