Senior TMC MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar has resigned from all organizational posts, including the women's wing presidency, after a fallout with party leadership.

Kolkata: Senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and Lok Sabha MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar resigned from all organisational positions within the party on Wednesday.
The move comes just days after she publicly aired her disappointment with the party leadership's internal functioning. While Dastidar has stepped down from all party responsibilities, the most prominent being the president of the TMC’s women’s wing, she will continue to serve in her capacity as a Member of Parliament.
The parliamentarian’s resignation follows weeks of growing friction. Dastidar had recently skipped several key party programs and voiced open discontent regarding the TMC's internal management and structural operations.
The divide within the party was highlighted on Tuesday when Dastidar openly defied objections from the TMC leadership to attend an official administrative review meeting.
She attended a high-profile administrative meeting on Tuesday chaired by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, despite explicit objections and warnings from the TMC hierarchy.
Though she remains a TMC lawmaker in Parliament, her decision to step away from organizational duties and publicly share a platform with the Chief Minister signals an intensifying internal crisis for the Trinamool Congress leadership.
