Chennai: Tablets (India) Limited has clarified that it has no factory or manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, and is not connected to the private company where a water boiler blast killed workers on Saturday.

The company said Tablets (India) Limited and TIL Healthcare Private Limited are separate and independent entities, with no common ownership or management. The clarification comes after the fatal industrial accident in Sri City, Tirupati district, led to confusion over the identity of the company involved.

Tablets (India) Limited said it wanted to set the record straight and prevent any further misunderstanding about its connection to the incident.

The company also expressed condolences to the families of those who died in the accident.

What happened in the Sri City boiler blast?

Five workers were killed in the water boiler blast at a private company in Sri City on Saturday, according to IANS. Another 10 workers were severely injured and are undergoing treatment.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the incident and directed officials to provide support to the families of the deceased and ensure the injured receive the best possible medical treatment.

Details about what caused the boiler blast, as well as the identities of the victims, are yet to be disclosed.
