Officials said an eagle collided with the train’s windshield, shattering it and injuring the loco pilot

Srinagar: A loco pilot was injured on Saturday morning after a train was struck by a bird along the Baramulla–Banihal route, officials confirmed.
According to reports from the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the incident occurred between the Bijbehara and Anantnag sections when the train was travelling towards Banihal.
Officials said an eagle collided with the train’s windshield, shattering it and injuring the loco pilot. The injured driver, identified as Vishal, was given first aid at the Anantnag railway station.
Railway authorities have confirmed that services on the route were briefly affected following the incident.
