Sonakshi Sinha, who tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a quiet, close-knit ceremony last year, has been dealing with her fair share of online trolls — and she’s handling them like a boss.

One recent comment crossed the line when a troll wrote on one of her pictures, "Your divorce is too close to you."

But Sonakshi didn’t hold back.

She replied, “Pehele teri mummy papa karenge, phir hum. Promise.” (First, your parents will get divorced, then we will. Promise.)

The couple, who registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act, were soon hit with pregnancy rumours. This happened after Sonakshi was seen outside a clinic and later posted a picture with her dog. People on the internet quickly started speculating.

Speaking to Curly Tales, Sonakshi clarified in the most relatable way possible: “I’m not pregnant. I’ve just gained weight.” She added, “That day, someone congratulated Zaheer. Can’t we just enjoy our marriage?” Zaheer chimed in with his usual humour, saying, “The next day her diet started.”

Zaheer laughed and added, “The funny part is, it came out of nowhere. There was just a picture of us with our dog, and suddenly people were like ‘Oh she’s pregnant.’ I mean, how is that even connected?”

Sonakshi summed it up best: “People are crazy.”
