Reports have emerged that the accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique have confessed that they had planned to kill actor Salman Khan before targeting the former. The shooters, linked to the killing of Siddique, reportedly disclosed during interrogation that tight security around the Bollywood superstar thwarted their plans.

This is not the first time Salman Khan has been targeted. On April 14, two assailants on a motorcycle opened fire near the actor's residence in Bandra. The shooters were later apprehended in Gujarat. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang eventually claimed responsibility for the attack.

In recent months, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has repeatedly issued threats to Salman Khan. In response to these escalating threats, the Mumbai Police have upgraded Salman Khan’s security to the Y+ category. The actor's residence now has a strong police presence, along with AI-powered high-resolution CCTV cameras equipped with facial recognition technology to monitor any suspicious activity.

Baba Siddique, 66, was shot dead on October 12 outside the Bandra East office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, in Mumbai. Three assailants opened fire, hitting Siddique twice in the chest. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
