Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who was critically injured in a stabbing incident early Thursday, is recovering well, according to Dr. Nitin Narayana, who has been overseeing his treatment at Lilavati Hospital. In an official update on the actor's condition, Dr. Narayana confirmed that Saif's health is improving, and he has been moved out of the ICU.

"It was a close shave for Saif Ali Khan. If the injury had been any deeper, it could have been a grave situation," Dr. Narayana shared, adding that the actor's health is stable and all his vital parameters are currently normal. 

Saif, who came to the hospital blood-soaked with his kid Taimur underwent successful surgery after being attacked during an alleged burglary attempt at his home. The surgery, which was critical to prevent further damage, has been deemed successful by the medical team. 

"Saif is recovering well. He experienced no pain while walking... His surgery was successful, and he is satisfied with the procedure," Dr. Narayana stated. “His movements are still restricted, and he has been advised to rest.”
