New Delhi: Ahead of 76th Republic Day, President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday has sanctioned gallantry awards to 93 personnel from the Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces, including 11 posthumous honours. These awards are in recognition of their extraordinary acts of bravery and selfless service to the nation.

The list of gallantry awards includes two Kirti Chakras, one of which has been awarded posthumously, alongside 14 Shaurya Chakras, with three being awarded posthumously.

In addition, one Bar to the Sena Medal (Gallantry) has been approved, along with 66 Sena Medals for Gallantry, seven of which are posthumous. The Navy and Air Force also feature among the recipients, with two Nao Sena Medals (Gallantry) and eight Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry) being conferred.

In addition to the gallantry awards, the President also granted a total of 305 defence decorations to the Armed Forces and other personnel. Among these are prestigious honours such as 30 Param Vishisht Seva Medals, five Uttam Yudh Seva Medals, and 57 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals. The list also includes 10 Yudh Seva Medals, one Bar to the Sena Medal for Devotion to Duty, and 43 Sena Medals for Devotion to Duty.

The Navy and Air Force personnel also received recognition, with eight Nao Sena Medals and 15 Vayu Sena Medals for Devotion to Duty. Additionally, four Bars to the Vishisht Seva Medal were approved, along with 132 Vishisht Seva Medals.
