New Delhi: The BJP on Monday took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, claiming he has gone abroad to "enjoy a holiday" and "is back to doing what he does best".

There was no immediate response from the Congress. Â

"A man who spends more time chilling than working, and then shouts, 'vote chori'," BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said on X, posting a meme of the Congress leader, titled, "Rahul Gandhi fir chutti per! (Rahul Gandhi on leave again)."

Gandhi has been spearheading an opposition stir against the SIR and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged electoral irregularities.

"Rahul Gandhi is back to doing what he does best: taking a break and enjoying a holiday! Rahul Gandhi is reportedly travelling abroad for a vacation. Rahul Gandhi is not in India," Bhandari wrote on X.

The BJP spokesperson also sought to know from the Congress whether Gandhi is enjoying a break abroad or meeting his "chaos collaborators".

"During Navratri, what is Rahul Gandhi doing abroad? Enjoying a break (or) meeting his chaos collaborators?" Bhandari asked.

The BJP has frequently targeted Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, over his foreign visits, alleging that he goes abroad to "spew venom" against India.

He is always in "constant vacation mode and is frequently absent whenever Parliament, elections or his party needs him", it had earlier alleged, adding he should rename LoP as "Leader of Paryatan and Partying because that's what he always does -- partying, tourism and travel". PTI
