New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to brief Parliament on Thursday on the helicopter accident at Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Singh briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
An IAF helicopter carrying senior officials including Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat crashed near Coonoor in the nearby hilly Nilgiris district on Wednesday morning. Accoding to reports, eleven people died in the mishap.
Four bodies were recovered from the crash site. They are yet to be identified. Three of the injured persons were rushed to the hospital.
