The 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be released today, 19 November, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferring a total of ₹18,000 crore directly to the bank accounts of nearly 9 crore eligible farmers. Each beneficiary is set to receive ₹2,000 under the scheme’s Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism.

According to reports, PM Modi will disburse the instalment at an event in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

About PM-KISAN Yojana and Previous Instalments

Since its inception, the PM-Kisan Yojana has provided financial assistance to farmers through regular instalments. The 20th instalment was released on 2 August 2025, when PM Modi transferred ₹20,500 crore to the accounts of around 9.7 crore farmers.

Who Will Receive the 21st Instalment?

The 21st instalment will only be credited to eligible farmers. Key criteria include:

  • Only farmers whose names appear on the official beneficiary list will receive the payment.
  • Farmers who have not completed the mandatory e-KYC process will not be credited ₹2,000.
  • Those whose bank accounts are not linked to their Aadhaar cards may face payment failure.

How to Check Beneficiary Status

Farmers can verify their status on the PM-Kisan portal: https://pmkisan.gov.in

  • Go to the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the homepage.
  • Click on ‘Beneficiary List’.
  • Enter your State, District, Sub-District, Block, and Village, then click ‘Get Report’ to see if your name is listed.
