Maharashtra: A fire broke out involving three parked buses in the Nigdi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad, prompting swift action from the local fire department.
Initially, two buses were reported to be on fire on Tuesday evening, but officials later confirmed that a third vehicle had also caught fire. No injuries were reported, and the blaze was brought under control within a short time.
Fire Officer Gautam Ingwale told ANI, “At around 9.30, we received information about two buses on fire. We immediately deployed an authority vehicle. In total, three buses were affected — one was completely gutted, while two sustained partial damage. No one was injured, and the situation is now under control.”
He added that the buses had been parked illegally in the area. Two fire tenders — one from the local authority and another from Chikli — were deployed to contain the fire.
