Mumbai: MTV Splitsvilla X5 and Bigg Boss 18 contestant Kashish Kapoor has claimed that her cook stole ₹7 lakh from her at-home locker and physically assaulted her when confronted. In a video shared on her YouTube channel, Kashish recounted the shocking incident.

According to Kashish, she had kept ₹7 lakh in cash at home, planning to deposit it into her mother’s account on the 9th of the month. Upon returning from the washroom, she found the envelope empty. When she asked the cook to turn out his pockets, bundles of cash fell from his possession.

She recalled a frightening moment saying, “By the time I could pick up my phone, the next thing I know, I’m pinned against the wall. He told me, ‘Don’t do anything, don’t tell anyone’… in my own house.” Despite feeling threatened, Kashish told him to leave, assuring him she wouldn’t go to the authorities.

After realising it was not the right decision to set him free, she rushed to stop the cook from leaving and contacted her security guard, but he managed to escape. She told viewers how she dashed down 20 flights of stairs as he fled the building.

After pondering her next move, she tricked the cook into returning to her home. Kashish contacted the police and filed an FIR at the local station. The cook admitted stealing ₹50,000, confessing to a fraction of what was missing. The police are currently investigating the full extent of the theft, though Kashish has not been assured of either her money or the cook's arrest.

Currently in Singapore for work, Kashish addressed why she stayed silent initially, explaining, “I kept quiet so my parents wouldn’t know this or be worried."

In her emotional video, Kashish also expressed disappointment, highlighting that betrayal at home is the hardest to face.
