Thiruvananthapuram: The investigation into the alleged NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) question paper leak has now extended to Kerala. Authorities are looking into claims that the paper was circulated within several WhatsApp groups based in the state. A special team from the Rajasthan Police is spearheading the probe with the assistance of the Kerala Police.

The NEET UG exam was conducted on May 3, 2026. However, allegations suggest that the paper was leaked prior to the commencement of the exam.
Initial reports pointed towards a coaching centre in Sikar of Rajasthan, as the potential hub of the fraud. Despite these growing concerns, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has maintained that no such incidents have come to their attention.

A Special Operations Group (SOG) was formed in Rajasthan to investigate the matter. According to reports, the final page of the question paper—containing questions worth 100 marks—was leaked. It is further alleged that a specific coaching institute had prepared a set of 400 practice questions, 100 of which appeared identically in the actual exam.

Complainants allege that these leaked questions were shared across various Kerala-based coaching WhatsApp groups. In response, Rajasthan Police confirmed they are collaborating with Kerala authorities to track the digital trail. Beyond Rajasthan and Kerala, similar allegations of leaks have surfaced in Mumbai. Currently, no FIR has been registered, as the investigation remains in its preliminary stages.
