Chhattisgarh: In a significant development in anti-insurgency efforts, security forces in Chhattisgarh have killed three Naxals during an encounter in the dense forests of Karregutta, located in Bijapur district along the state’s border with Telangana.

Police officials confirmed that the incident is part of one of the largest coordinated anti-Naxal operations launched in the region in the past three days.

The operation, involving multiple security units, aims to dismantle Naxalite presence and infrastructure in the border forest zones known for insurgent activity.

Search and combing operations are still underway in the area, and further engagements between security personnel and armed insurgents are expected as the campaign progresses. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the deceased Naxals.
