Dubai: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor and former Pakistani pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar crossed paths at Dubai airport while the MP was returning to Delhi after attending a literary festival in England. 

Tharoor took to Twitter to share a selfie of the two together, praising Akhtar for his intelligence and charisma. Tharoor acknowledged Akhtar's popularity in India and mentioned discussing India, Pakistan and cricket with him.

However, the social media frenzy surrounding their selfie focused on the striking resemblance between the two individuals.
