
Uttar Pradesh: A tragic incident occurred on Friday morning at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, where a 22-year-old MBA student lost his life after falling from the sixth floor of the college building.
The deceased, Abhinav Anand, hailed from Patna in Bihar. He reportedly fell under unexplained circumstances during the early hours of April 18. He was rushed to the nearest Community Health Centre, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter to ascertain whether the fall was accidental, intentional, or involved foul play. The police and college administration are working together to gather details and determine the exact cause of the incident.
The tragedy has shocked students and staff at the institute, who have expressed grief and concern. The incident also brings renewed attention to student mental health and safety protocols on campuses.
Support services have been offered to fellow students, and officials have urged anyone struggling with mental health challenges to seek help through counselling and peer support systems.
