Amaravati: The India Meteorological Department announced on Monday that a new low-pressure area has developed over the Bay of Bengal and is expected to strengthen into a cyclonic storm by October 23.
The weather department reported that this low pressure formed around 5:30 am on Monday over the east-central Bay of Bengal and the nearby north Andaman Sea. This development was influenced by an upper air cyclonic circulation that occurred on Sunday over the north Andaman Sea and adjacent areas.
