An anonymous complaint has triggered a major investigation into the alleged evasion of over ₹37 lakh in road tax and penalties involving a black Lamborghini Huracan Evo in Bengaluru. The email, received by the state transport department on December 12, 2025, claimed the luxury car was illegally registered at the Kasturinagar RTO using forged documents. Photographs attached to the complaint prompted enforcement officials to conduct a detailed verification.

The probe revealed that the car was originally purchased on June 1, 2022, by Harsha Infra Cons Pvt Ltd from Lamborghini’s authorised showroom on Lavelle Road for more than ₹3 crore. It was issued a temporary registration at the Electronics City RTO before the buyer planned to register it in Hyderabad.

However, in September 2025, a new set of documents was submitted at Kasturinagar RTO claiming the car had been sold to H1 Car Care at a significantly undervalued price. Investigators found that the invoice used was identical to the original one issued three years earlier. Lamborghini’s dealer confirmed no such invoice was generated in 2025, declaring it forged.

Officials believe the fabricated records were created to avoid tax liabilities accumulated over time. The vehicle was traced to Sahakarnagar in February, and following non-cooperation from the owner, a police complaint was filed. The owners of H1 Car Care and Harsha Infra Cons Pvt Ltd have been named as accused. (With inputs from Agencies)
