Karnataka Lokayukta says Sardar Sarfaraz Khan holds Rs 14.38 crore in DA case assets

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Lokayukta on Wednesday said that cooperative societies director Sardar Sarfaraz Khan was found to be possessing assets worth Rs 14.38 crore. The announcement follows multi-location raids in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
Raids conducted at multiple locations
The Lokayukta team had raided 13 locations linked to Khan on December 24, 2025, including his residences, offices, and the homes of his relatives, the release said.
Khan currently serves as Secretary to the government in the Housing and Minority Welfare Department and is reportedly close to Housing and Minority Welfare Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan.
Extensive assets found
During the searches, the Lokayukta team found that Khan owned:
- Four houses
- 37 acres of agricultural land, valued at Rs 8.44 crore
- Ornaments worth Rs 3 crore
- Vehicles valued at Rs 1.64 crore
- Fixed deposits and other investments worth Rs 5.94 crore
The total estimated assets come to Rs 14.38 crore, according to the release.
