New Delhi: K Radhakrishnan has been appointed as the CPM's Lok Sabha Party leader.

K. Radhakrishnan, member of the CPM Central Committee, has a distinguished career including serving as the Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly and holding ministerial positions twice. His appointment is based on his extensive parliamentary experience.

Party General Secretary Sitaram Yechury wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla requesting him to accept Radhakrishnan as the party leader. Radhakrishnan, Alathur MP, is notably the only candidate from the Left Front to secure victory from Kerala this Lok Sabha election.
