Mumbai: In response to the severe weather conditions and widespread flooding across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited has announced a series of relief initiatives to support affected customers and ensure uninterrupted connectivity.

What steps is Jio taking for affected users?

In a statement issued on Wednesday, a Jio spokesperson confirmed that the company is maintaining critical network operations in most of the impacted areas despite the challenging weather.

"Jio recognizes the vital role of reliable connectivity in enabling access to emergency services, family communication, and critical updates," the spokesperson said in a statement.

To support users during this difficult time, Jio has introduced the following measures:

For Jio prepaid mobile and JioHome users:

  • Automatic 3-day validity extension for customers with plans expiring this week
  • Unlimited voice calling and 2GB high-speed data per day for prepaid mobile users, no recharge required
  • 3-day complimentary extension of the last valid plan for JioHome users, at no extra cost

For postpaid mobile and JioHome users:

  • A 3-day grace period for bill payments, ensuring uninterrupted services even if payment is delayed due to current disruptions

The spokesperson added that Jio’s engineering teams are actively working on-ground to strengthen network resilience and restore full connectivity wherever needed.

"Jio is steadfast in its commitment to delivering world-class connectivity and supporting communities through every hurdle," the spokesperson said.
