Chennai: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a new spiritual journey for devotees and travelers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

The Bharat Gaurav tourist train will soon depart from Saharsa, taking passengers on a 12-night, 13-day pilgrimage across South India’s most revered temples and cultural landmarks.

According to Vishwaranjan Shaha, Assistant Manager of IRCTC’s Patna regional office, the journey offers a unique opportunity for pilgrims to explore India’s spiritual and cultural richness in one comprehensive tour.

Sacred Stops On The Route:

The Bharat Gaurav tour will include visits to:

  • Tirupati – Balaji and Padmavati Temples
  • Rameswaram – Ramanathaswamy Jyotirlinga
  • Madurai – Meenakshi Amman Temple
  • Kanyakumari – Kanyakumari Temple & Vivekananda Rock Memorial
  • Thiruvananthapuram – Padmanabhaswamy Temple
  • Mallikarjuna – Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga

Tour Fare & Classes

The pilgrimage package is divided into three categories:

  1. Economy Class: ₹25,620 per person
  2. Standard Class: ₹35,440 per person
  3. Comfort Class: ₹49,175 per person

Boarding & Drop-off Points

Passengers can board or disembark at any of the following stations:

Saharsa, Supaul, Nirmali, Jhanjharpur, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Patliputra, Ara, Buxar, Dildarnagar, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, and Prayagraj.
