A youth was seriously injured after his car plunged into a 300-foot valley while attempting a social media stunt at Table Point, Satara. Authorities urge visitor safety.

Pune: An attempt to film an Instagram reel ended in tragedy on Wednesday when a car fell into a 300-foot-deep valley at Table Point in Gujarwadi, Satara. The incident, which occurred around 4 pm in the Sadawaghapur area, left the young man with serious injuries.
The injured has been identified as Sahil Jadhav, a resident of Goleshwar in Karad. He was reportedly performing a risky driving stunt near the edge of the viewpoint when he lost control of the vehicle. Several bystanders at the popular hilltop spot witnessed the horrifying moment as the car slipped off the edge and plunged into the valley.
Rescue teams, with help from locals, managed to bring Sahil out of the wreckage and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

According to police officials, the incident highlights the growing trend of dangerous stunts being performed for social media content. Authorities have urged tourists and influencers to avoid life-threatening behaviour at public attractions. An investigation into the mishap is currently underway.
Table Point, a scenic and frequently visited tourist destination in Satara, is known for its panoramic views and open landscapes. However, the absence of protective railings near the cliff edges has long been a point of concern among locals.
