The Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj is known as the world’s largest spiritual gathering, attracting millions who come to take a holy dip in the Ganges. But beyond its religious significance, the Mela also serves as a thriving business hub, attracting entrepreneurs and vendors from across the country. Among them is Shubham Prajapat, a young influencer who is capitalizing on the massive footfall by running a successful tea stall, earning a profit of Rs 5,000 daily.
Prajapat set up his temporary stall to test the business potential of the Mela, selling tea and water bottles to the thousands of visitors. As demand for refreshments surges, he serves a cup of tea for Rs 10. The morning rush proves to be the most profitable time for him, as tea lovers flock to his stall for their daily fix.
“It’s in the morning that I make most of my sales. There is less crowd in the afternoon, so I take some rest and prepare for the evening rush,” Prajapat said.
With daily sales reaching up to Rs 7,000, Prajapat’s tea business has become a hit, earning him an impressive profit of Rs 5,000 each day. His stall has not only become a popular spot but has also gained attention on social media. Visitors have been taking photos and videos of Prajapat, leading to viral moments online.
His video has already crossed 13.6 million views and 481,000 likes. Many social media users have expressed their admiration, with some even inquiring if they could intern at his stall. One user was particularly shocked by his earnings, commenting, “1.5 lakh per month?”
