New Delhi: Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president P T Usha has stated that the agenda, issued by All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Kalyan Chaubey, which seeks to remove her from the presidency of the Association is both illegal and against the Association's constitution. Usha alleged that some individuals are acting against the Association under Chaubey’s leadership. She made these comments to the media amidst efforts to bring a no-confidence motion against her.

Many members of the Executive Council are still opposed to Usha. For the IOA meeting scheduled for October 25, both P T Usha and the Executive Council members have prepared separate agendas. In a letter sent to the IOA members on October 3, Usha included 16 items on her agenda. In contrast, the agenda prepared by the Opposition has 26 items, including the no-confidence motion against Usha.

Both agendas were released on the morning of October 10. The Olympic Association contends that Kalyan Chaubey issued the agenda under the pretext of being the acting CEO, whereas the actual CEO is Raghuram Aiyer. Usha accused Chaubey and some members of acting against the association.

It remains unclear which agenda will be discussed at the IOA Council meeting on October 25. Usha had previously sent notices to several council members concerning eligibility criteria. Of the 15-member council, 12 are opposed to Usha. If the no-confidence motion goes to a vote, it could potentially backfire on her.
