ATV rides resumed in Pahalgam on Sunday, more than a month after the April 22 Baisaran terror attack killed 26 people

More than a month after the deadly terror attack at Baisaran — a scenic meadow near Pahalgam town — left 26 people dead, life is gradually returning to normal in the area. The brutal massacre, carried out on April 22 by Pakistan-backed terrorists, had sent shockwaves across Jammu and Kashmir and halted tourism in the region.
On Sunday, All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rides, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Pahalgam, resumed operations for the first time since the attack. The service had been suspended as a security measure and out of respect for the victims.
The resumption of ATV rides marks a tentative yet hopeful step toward reviving tourism in Pahalgam, a valley town that has long drawn visitors for its alpine beauty and adventure offerings.
